All religions DO NOT lead to God The Bible contains many examples of religions that displease God. Religions fall into two basic categories.
| Category 1: Worshipping false gods
|
Please take some time to look up the scriptures in your own Bible
The Bible describes the worship of false gods with such terms as “delusion,”
“futility,” and “useless.” (Jeremiah 10:3-5; 16:19, 20) Jehovah
God commanded the ancient nation of Israel: “You must not have any other gods besides me.”
(Exodus 20:3, 23; 23:24) When the Israelites worshipped other gods,
“Jehovah became enraged.” Numbers 25:3; Leviticus 20:2; Judges 2:13, 14.
God still has the same attitude toward the worship of such “so-called gods.” (1 Corinthians 8:5, 6; Galatians 4:8) He commands those who want to worship him to stop associating with those who practice false religion, saying: “Get out from among them, and separate yourselves.”
If all religions lead people to God, why would God command people to "Get out from among them, and separate yourselves"? (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)

| Category 2:
Worshipping the true God | in a way he does not approve
At times, the Israelites worshipped God using beliefs and practices borrowed from the worship
of false gods, but Jehovah rejected this attempt to mix true religion with false.
(Exodus 32:8; Deuteronomy 12:2-4)
Jesus condemned the religious leaders of his day
because of the way they worshipped God; they made an outward show of being religious,
yet they hypocritically “disregarded the weightier matters of the Law, namely,
justice and mercy and faithfulness.” Matthew 23:23. God detests religious hypocrisy. (Titus 1:16) To help people draw closer to God, a religion must affect their everyday lives and not just consist of rituals or formalities. For example, the Bible says: “If any man thinks he is religious but does not keep a tight rein on his tongue, he is deceiving his own heart, and his worship is futile. The religion that is clean and undefiled from the standpoint of our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation, and to keep oneself without spot from the world.” (James 1:26, 27; footnotes) The King James Version uses the expression “pure religion” for this clean, unhypocritical worship. Likewise today, only religion that is based on truth leads people to God. This truth is found in the Bible. (John 4:24; 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16,17) Religions whose teachings conflict with the Bible actually steer people away from God. Many teachings that people think come from the Bible have pagan roots. Teachings dating back thousands of years to ancient Babylon, such teachings including the cross, the Trinity, the immortal soul, and eternal torment were borrowed from those who worshipped false gods.
Worship that promotes false teachings is “in vain,” or useless, because it replaces God’s requirements with religious traditions. (Mark 7:7,8). |
Who is Really behind False Religion?
Your Bible clearly identifies this person, your Bible calls him Satan, which means “Resister.”
Job 1:6.
and Devil, which means “Slanderer.” Revelation 12:9 He is also called Serpent,
which is used in the Bible to mean “Deceiver.” 2 Corinthians 11:3.
Satan has concealed himself so well that many doubt that he is a real person.
We should not be surprised that many people don’t believe that the Devil is real.
Your Bible says that Satan uses deception to accomplish his aims.
2 Thessalonians 2:9, 10; 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Some view Satan the Devil as just a principle or quality of evil that exists inside us.
However, the Bible records a conversation between God and Satan. Job 2:1-6
God is perfect, so he could not have been talking to an evil part of himself.
Also, Satan tempted Jesus, who is free of sin. Matthew 4:8-10; 1 John 3:5

What are Satan's goals
|
1 Peter 5:8
Tells us to "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:". Clearly, Satan wants us to join him in his rebellion against God. He deceived the first humans into following him. This led to their death. which they passed on to us Romans 5:12 Tells us "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:". When Adam and Eve were created, God told them that they would die if they disobeyed Him, Satan told Eve that she would not die. Ask yourself: who lied God or Satan? Remember, Jesus called Satan "the Father of the lie" John 8:44 Where would Adam and Eve be today if they had not been misled by Satan? If the only mention of them dying was for disobeying God, it stands to reason that they would not have died. It is clear, God's purpose was to have obediant man live on earth forever. Why do the religions of the world not teach this basic bible truth?

Bible Truth or false stories. It's your choice
Jesus words at:
Mark 7:7,8 Tell us Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. 2 Timothy 4:3,4 Tell us "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 Tell us 13 "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works." Remember: Teachings including the cross, the Trinity, the immortal soul, and eternal torment were borrowed from those who worshipped false gods. Worship that promotes such teachings is “in vain,” or useless, because it replaces God’s requirements with religious traditions.

It's wise to examine our religious beliefs, since God only approves of true worship. |
